Melody's Big Day - 1st Birthday

We organised a mini birthday celebration for Melody with many well wishes from those who had took time off to attend her birthday party though today was still 初六 of CNY and everyone was still busy with their CNY vistings and all...

Melody wished to thank all uncles and aunties who had attended, the gifts and ang baos received. Oh ya, and also a very Happy Birthday to 奶奶 whom chinese birthday falls on today too!

1st day of school

Its the first day of school at St Anne's. Tiffy took it very well, and seemed to grow up liao just like a 小大人. Today is the only day where parents are allowed to 'attend' the 1/2-day class with the children and Tiffy seemed comfortable with the environment so far.

Christmas christmas

We had a christmas feast at home sweet home. Ordered a turkey, a big roll of ham, a 933 chicken curry in bread and a yi ping guo yummy! =) Tiffy was of cos the happiest of us all being showered with a heap of presents!

Kite Flying

Tiffy went kite flying, thanks to dear auntie cass *muacks*, she helped mummy found the kite! These days, it seemed hard to find shops selling kites lei...the kite flew up on our 2nd attempt thanx to the windy wind =)

Absolutely crazy fan of Barney, to think that we the parents started queueing for the tea party pass an hour before the show, and we were the no.29 of the 30 to be able to get into the area. And daddy had to standby to queue (heehee while Tiffy and mummy went shopping, *muacks* to daddy!) for the 7pm show at 5pm and we managed to get the no.7th pass! *faintz*

A Wedding

There was a wedding dinner tonight. Had a great night except that Tiffany nearly made me want to strangle her but made me laugh too... 又哭又笑

Tiffany had insisted that she would be a good girl to eat and behave herself. Cos she dont want to stay at home with popo and mei mei and had repeatedly insisted that she wanted to come with me. So we went and arrived at about 8pm at Pan Pacific Hotel taking Cat's car. Not too long after, at about 845pm, Tiffany said she wanted to go toilet. At about 9pm when the first dish was served, she requested to go to toilet again. Thinking maybe she was cold, helped her put on a sweater. Shortly after before 2nd dish was served, she wanted to drink milk milk sleep wor! I forgot to bring her milk! Desperately sleepy and tired, she finally settled to lay her head on her Barney bag on top of the high chair!! She actually slept throughout the dinner till i shook her up for the table shoot haha! Well..Tiffany did tried to behave =)

Melody went for a Baby Show

Dear yee yee signed Melody up for a Baby Show at Teck Ghee CC. Mei Mei was not feeling very well, her running and cough seemed so stubborn..refused to go away yet...but we still went ahead heehee...Melody managed to clinch a consolation price for the Cutest Baby category. Not a bad feat considering that there were so many participating babies. The show was organised in such a way with 2 categories: Healthy Baby and Cutest Baby. Participating babies were categorised into 3 different age groups. Hmm..perhaps if there were a crawling segment, mei mei could have a chance to clinch the fastest crawling baby award! heehee

Trying to make Melody smile cos she was still grogy with sleep after we shook her awake for the baby parade segment after a long long wait and a series of talks...

Princess Melody is 10-months old

Life is always a miracle, from conceiving to actually holding a darling (erm a terror now perhaps, who would twist her mum around with her smiles and tantrums) in her arms...i always felt that mei mei is like a laughing buddha keke..cos she was always smiling away and her endearing smile always melt my heart away...she is now learning to cruise with the help of walls, cupboards, chairs bla bla bla...she has also learnt a few more gestures..
1) sa yang - where she would stroke herself or us on the head
2) wave
3) fly kiss - cue word is kiss then she would put her palm on her lips
4) clap
5) shake her head - very apt at doing this!
6) direction - she would direct us to where she wants to go with her hand stretched out in that direction, this is exceptionally funny cos her head would also be slightly tilted towards her arm :)
I remembered that there was once where she was so angry bcos i din carry her when she wanted, that she was literally jumping in anger! She was bouncing on her bum bum and cried in her angry tone haha

Yeah, mummy was on leave again, thats probably the happiest thing that can happen to Tiffany heehee..

Another big plan for today keke... but first must bring Melody for her massage cos she was still not feeling well, not eating well..having her round of cough and running nose again. worried worried...*frown* She cried like mad this time round, can even hear her at 2nd floor of the building!After lunch, we managed to catch a Hello Kitty show at Bishan Junction 8 keke =) heh managed to get one of the 30 passes to meet and greet ie. able to take pic with Hello Kitty and gang.

Finally got a decent shot taken by daddy. One guy volunteered to take for us so that we could take for them too. And turned out that the shot was erh..yucks! blurred and all of us still not in position yet. The management had been obliging to let us take one more shot so daddy was out of the picture cos he was the photographer =)

Gone swimming and Meet Tigger and Pooh

Mummy was on leave TODAY, yippee!

Saw that the weather was very good and Tiffy was definitely very excited! The whole family quickly packed our stuff and rushed out of the house in a jiffy to the new swimming complex at Sengkang CC. To our disappointment, it was closed on a Monday! As I did not want to disappoint my darling girls, we drove down to Tampines Swimming Complex. Tiffy was super afraid of water! She went down for a while and refuse to move or even walked in the water. So end up she merely stayed in the water for about 10mins and cried to be out of water...haiz....as for Melody, managed to coax her to lie on the float and she actually fell asleep! heehee...finally managed to get her feet into the water after much fusing!..well although we spent a short time in the pool (we went in at 12pm came out and in the car at 1245pm!!), it seemed an eternity having to coax 2 bawling children to simply play water...perhaps the SSC should consider having heated warm pool especially for children...

We went home for lunch, and headed out to Taka to meet Winnie the Pooh and friends. Tiffy was thrilled to see Tigger and friends! There was no performance, did a pooh dance and started queuing for photo opportunity.

Mei mei is blossoming every day

Mei mei is blossoming every day...She loves to clap esp when she is happy; point ya she sure knows; laughing at silly and funny expressions esp when entertained by her sister; crying or pretending to cry for your attention =) She would open and close her hands to the tune of "twinkle twinkle little star..."; and claps her hands to 'if you are happy and you know it clap your hands, clap clap" and occassionally will shake her heads when she dont want or when she is just being naughty.

While posting this entry..mei mei is tugging my shorts...

Day 5 (Cloudy and Drizzling)

It was a very very very special day for Tiffany.

Tiffany graduated from Apple Tree playgroup! We proudly clapped our hands and busy snapped away as Tiffy received her certificate from the RC Chairman. Mummy took so many pictures of all the children as well till daddy asked whether am i going to burn a CD for all the other parents keke...

We saw her grown up from a crying baby to an independant girl. Mummy remembered when she just started her playgroup, she was steady as she was one of the few who did not cry in class. And during my maternity leave, I saw her to school and she seemed ok..but after her June holidays, we all wondered why she suddenly cry everyday when we left her at the door and had insisted to be the last one to go in the room...She gradually got used to it again and had been very independent since...Her teacher Salmah also helped us to toilet trained her when one day her teacher decided that Tiffany should start attending class without diapers (prob sometimes in Sep..) cos nai nai reported that Tiffany would not go to school without her diapers..heehee..So probably in Oct, Tiffany is completely toilet trained...day and night...mummy is so proud of Tiffany! *muack* hahaha but it also meant more 'work' for us...

Today, we had a good morning and as usual for the past few days, Tiffany and friends went to the playground hand in hand...We took lunch outside (thanks to nai nai's 4D luck and treat)...

After lunch, Melody had to go for her vacination...'pn..cocal' vaccine.. and her vital stats were:-

Weight - 7.4kgs
Height - 67.5cm
H.C - 44cm
Remarks - Small Sized

And the whole family had ice cream somewhere at east coast road...Tiffany was napping in car and when she saw the 2 cups of ice cream, her eyes lit up like a christmas tree and almost finished a single scoop of chocolate ice cream! How i wish she could eat rice just like the way she finished off ice cream and sweets... aiyo...

Today marked the end of mummy being a temp SAHM...feeling a bit sad as couldnt see the girls every moment i wished to when i go back to work...Had managed to take quite a bit of photos for the past few days with mummy's new camera..had felt a lot satisfaction knowing that my babies loved me a lot for the fact that mummy's arms are aching from all the carrying..that they always turned to me (or fight) for attention...even daddy couldnt handle the 2 angels =) there were instances that when melody cried for carry, she really meant business and had to be carried by mummy only and when Tiffany refused to eat dinner, only mummy can settle her...what a wonderful feeling...

Day 4 (Raining)

Heh...today we had a photo shoot appointment in the afternoon...again..yes but mummy meant for Melody to take the shoot mah..herez a sample of one...

Then we went to Pasir Ris Park cos Tiffany said she wanted to build a sand castle wor...but when we reach the beach she refused to come down and walk herself and kept complaining that sand got to her feet! So there goes our beach plan..We ended up at Ikea where she enjoyed quite a bit haha
