Busy August

This month of Aug was a period of highs and low...

Highs cos of birthday celebrations, eXplorer Kids, Tiffy celebrating Nday at School, National Day Celebrations at Heartlands, National Day Dinner, Opening of YOG rehearsal, baking class for parent and kid, clubbing/karaoke/movie with hb as part of my birthday celebrations and watching a musical-Fried Rice Paradise with mum and hb....

Low was Nat's diagnosis and her visits to PD and orthopedic.....tramatising for me at least....

Tip Toe Treatment

Natalie was diagnosed with tight archilles tendon on 3 Aug 2010, she is not able to flex her ankle fully 90degree, resulting that she has to tip toe even when standing. :(
I have been devastated when i first heard the news. I know that i have not been paying much attention to her, have been 'throwing' her in the walker for more than neccessary....had it not been our auntie who alerted us to this problem, I would probably not notice anything wrong with that and delayed treatment.....It has been nearly a month since the diagnosis...and the terrible guilt still lingers.


She is now 3 weeks into the treatment (1st serial casting started on 13 Aug 2010), we just pray that tmr's review will bring good news, that she will get well very very soon.


Little Nat Nat lives her life normally, still crawling, still cruising around, even attempting to stand leaning against the wall. And still as naughty as ever, snatching toys from her sisters, 'scolding' ppl, tapping on our face or wherever to get our attention, commanding that we do this and that for her.

Happy 1st Birthday to Natalie (Part 1)

We had a mini birthday celebration for our darling princess, Natalie. She has turned 1!
The house was decorated with Hello Kitty themed party stuff.

We put up a big Happy 1st Birthday banner up as a backdrop, decorated with balloons.

Bought some Hello Kitty balloons filled with helium to be given to the children :)

And a bouquet of Hello Kitty balloons for our birthday girl.

Po Po dropped by early to help with the cooking..she helped mummy to fry a wok of delicious mushroom rice, fishballs (which were a hit with the girls and gone before we even realise) and mixed vegetables (served in the big claypot), and we also ordered some other dishes like Sushi party set, 933 curry chicken, 933 ginseng salted chicken to complete the mini buffet spread.

Little Nat Nat

Little Nat Nat loves to drink from cup. She was holding the giant cup, look at her happy face.

Little Nat Nat also loves to play with mummy's iphone. Here she is happily playing, look at her little fingers swiping across the screen just like we did. So now whichever phone she gets her hands on, she would swipe her fingers across the screen keke..

St Anne's Church Funfair

Tiffany has requested that mummy buy a ticket for her kindergarten's funfair. So having bought the ticket, we visited the fair amidst the scorching sun. Mummy asked 婆婆to come along since i needed help as eddaddy is working on that day too.

First Light Festival

We crawled out of the bed at 3.30am, before the crack of dawn to catch the sun rise from The Singapore Flyer for the first time. We made it to the venue at about 4.30am in time for the inaugural edition of the First Light Festival, a new arts and cultural event. We saw some buskers performances, 'hawker stalls' selling food... it was already alive with activities.

Tiffany's Mini Performance in School

This year, Tiffany informed mummy that she will be performing during assembly. So mummy armed herself with camera to shoot her mini performance. It was really a great moment to be able to see her reciting her rhymes in front of her friends, though i commented that she din recite loud enough heehee..hope the next time she could do louder as she always does at home.

Was trying to capture her drving the car but she simply stayed put at that spot when she spotted the camera! urgh...next time next time heehee

Melody becomes a Cat

The 2 of them were playing quietly in the room, for a moment, i thought the worlds are at peace. And what happened, so jie jie becomes the artist and mei mei the model. Her hands and feet even have 'claws'!

A Date at Singapore Garden Fastival

eddaddy brought mummy to see the Asia's best Garden & Flower show -

The Singapore Garden Festival. A date...maybe...

Level 4 to 6 walkways were decorated with flowers and plants...we can have a whiff of flower scents everywhere we walked.

i particularly like this display cos the plant is shaped into a heart. there was one auntie who asked me to help take picture for her but she wanted a close up with the preying mantis at the background. But after i asked her to help us, she wanted another shoot with the same background! heehee

There were participating displays from many different countries. Like this unqiue one from China.

Natalie is 11 months

Natalie is 11 months now!

• she is cruising dangerously
• drooling alot
• can wave bye bye!
• knows how to clap hands
• loves to eat our food, anything like fish curry, rice, cha siew pau...
• smiles her toothly smile, she has 6 teeth now (3 upper and 3 lower)
• she knows how to throw tantrum if we dont carry her and if we take away her things
• sayang her sister when they cry
  

In conversation

Melody loves to hear the phone ring, she will then literally fly to answer the phone calls. Here she is chatting on the phone with gong gong...

Play and Teeth

Ask Nat to take picture ah...ignore me wor...continue playing with the remote control. End up with a mosaic page with screen shots of all the channels. Faintz i don even know that this function exists. tsk tsk.

She is able to cruise bit by bit by holding on to the tables and sofa....wonder when she would start walking. She is salivating alot (realli alot!) and i can spot one additional upper and lower teeth showing on the left side of her current 2 front and 2 lower. Her gums are so itchy that she bit my iphone and the screen protector is scratched again...faintz.

Kids Can Bake

Signed Tiffany for Kids can Bake - Hello Kitty Cake class at Rivervale CC. The teachers hailed from Genius R Us!. Tiffany proudly announced that she had crake the eggs herself and showed me her cake. Keke...there were some semblance of a Hello Kitty. :) She said she enjoyed the class and that she done everything herself. When i asked her what exactly has she done, besides cracking the eggs, she couldnt point them out. hmm...Well, at least she said she enjoyed the class. :)

Fan Yang Gazillion Bubble Show

Yee Yee treated the girls to the famous Fan Yang's Bubble Show at Downtown East. We din manage to get Cat 1 tickets, it was all sold out for all the days, but Cat 2 tickets seemed good enough hehe.
