One night at about 11plus, while we girls are finally having our nightly ritual of taking turns to sing goodnight songs in bed.. our daddy came home, all the girls jumped out of their bed and screamed 'daddy'! There goes all my efforts in calming them down and putting them all to bed.
Melody: Papa, are you going back to work somemore?
Natalie: Papa, ...work ...more?
We ended up all laughing huh, ask papa to work more?! Faintz

Natalie's review with her physio
Natalie went for a review at her physio regarding her tight ankle tendon. Her physio has officially discharged her, that would mean she do not have to go back for review anymore. However, we will still need to continue doing the exercises recommended so that the condition would not relapse. One more hurdle, she still have to pass her orthopedic's assessment review in Aug....
Then later in the day, Nat enjoyed an afternoon of climbing and sliding at our neighbourhood's playground. :0

Cycling at East Coast
While we were done with Polliwogs, we discovered an interesting bicycle! It comes in different sizing, 4pax type and even up to 6 pax type. We had a go at it after waiting for nearly an hour for the bicycle to be returned! yo hoo!

Polliwogs here we come!
Finally, the girls ran wild in Polliwogs, located at East Coast Park. It consists of both indoor, outdoor and even a toddlers' play area. Being such a hot day outside, we stayed indoors. While we adults relax by the cafe sipping our cupa of coffee, our children ran and climbed in the indoor play arena.

Let's Play @ Changi T3
Changi Airport has been one of our favourite hangout and this month, we saw a new giant inflatable playground for children at Changi Airport Terminal 3.
We brought our 3 little girls to the inflatable playground for some bouncing good fun and action. Admission to the playground is FREE, but visitors have to produce a single, same-day receipt (no minimum spend required) from any shopping or dining outlet at Changi Airport to redeem one play.

Our girls, including Natalie had a great time climbing, sliding and bouncing. Though Nat had a little abrasion on her forehead since she had no regard to safety and literally 'flew' down the slide. Nevertheless, she seemed to forget her pain after a while and slide all over again.

Natalie milestone
After wearing her JS Kangaroo for a couple of days. Nat has shown improvement.. she is able to stand alone (and very stable) for longer period as compared to before and she has attempt to take a few steps herself! Lets await that her therapist's predictment will come true soon - that Nat will be able to walk within a month's time.

Natalie in her JS Kangaroo
Natalie was at her therapy session. It was more of a fitting session for her, fitting for her pair of Jumpstart Kangaroo. It was specially ordered in from USA. It is suppose to help her walk on her feet planted on the ground. The pair has set us back by $320!
this is how it looks like..but Nat has it in pink.
It was an expensive 'shoe' but hopefully it will help her correct her ankle and reduce the relapse of archilles tendon contracture. But we noticed that she seeemed more confident to stand by herself after wearing it, even on the first day.Sunday, October 10, 2010

Natalie's gait
Amazingly, Nat is able to remember to put her foot down without much fuss anymore. Tiffy and I would 'scold' her if she doesnt, and Melody, being very hands on, would pull her sister's ankle down on the floor keke..

she was giving an impish smile when all of us were praising her for standing properly!

First Visit to Physiotherapist
Today was the first session with Nat's physio - Sarah from Kids Focus Physiotherapy. She is located at Turf City. After a series of questions and assessing Nat's condition, she predicted that Nat would probably need at most 3 sessions to graduate Nat from physio. As for complete recovery, Sarah said that we have to keep stretching her archilles tendon, and she said Nat could recover within a year once she starts walking.
The first session ended about 2 hours later and about $200 poorer...Nat only stops crying when Sarah said ok to go. =p The next review session will be next week and then Sarah would advise whether there is a need to order a pair of gaitor from USA for Nat.
We had to purchase a set of "support" to make sure Nat dont bend her knee while she is standing as she tends to do so nowadays after the cast if off since last week, stands like a flamingo as i called Nat, putting her weight only on her right leg. During the session, Sarah tried on Nat and makes her practise standing properly/straight against the mirror. Nat did it despite all her protests! We were heartened to see that Nat could put her foot down on the ground properly, finally.

Natalie off her leg cast
Nat's leg cast was on for another 3 weeks since 1 sep 2010. It was finally removed today and her ankles were able to bend more than 90degree already, not much rashes on her legs (good). That was a relieved. However, i see that her left ankle is not as good as her right, her right could bend more. She was wailing non-stop throughout the time that the doctor sawed the cast open and removed them and while he was checking. The ortho said that he will review her in 6 weeks' time and meanwhile Nat is to see a physio. The physio is located at Turf City and she specialises in pediatric physiotherapy. Hopefully she could work wonders on Nat....
The first thing i did when we brought her home was to give her a good bath, the children's way. I sat her on the stool and showered her. Keke..she enjoyed so much so that she refused to come out of the shower!

She was sleeping comfortably with her legs off cast and we were relieved that her tendons were much 'loose' now as compared 6 weeks ago. "Jia You Natalie"

Tip Toe Treatment (2)
Little Nat went back for review on 1st Sep. The doc reported that her legs are making some progress...the tendons are not as tight as the first visit. But she has to be casted for another 3 weeks, doc mentioned about going for physio therapy after this 2nd casting has been removed. Looking forward to the removal of cast on 22nd Sep.
For now, she still cruise and crawl in her cast as per normal...and getting naughtier. She can get angry when her sister sat together on my lap, she can push and pull her sister's hair when she is angry. :P
