End of School Term at Nursery Class

Heehee parents were invited to the year end school closing celebrations. All Nursery and K1 classes performed at the church's hall while K2 had their celebrations separately at the church's canteen. As usual, with loads of anticipation, i was very eager to see my darling girl's little performance!

Further to the performances, there was a pot luck party where parents contributed food based on fish theme! The children and parents alike were treated to a sumptous spread of breakfast. After filing everyone's tummy, ke lao shi put on the music, and magically the children esp Tiffy and her friend Rachael started dancing away! Can really see that Tiffy had enjoyed her nursery classes as she would often bring her songs and dances home in turn filling our home with songs and laughter...with mei mei copying her movement!

YeeYee's Birthday Part II

The girls and mummy had plans to treat Yee Yee Ben & Jerry ice cream for her birthday, and who knows, we ended up at Sentosa! Sushan and Yee wanted Megazip and i tot can let the girls try Luge.

Tiffany passed the minimum height requirement, but Melody is short by 4cm!! Melody couldnt luge away...nvm next time. So we took turns to luge and Tiffany enjoyed the rides very much. Surprising, she didnt freaked out by the speed of luge and height of the skyride! heehee.

As for Melody, she was on location photo shoot while waiting for us.

At one point, she kept asking me "me ley, me ley?" So sweet, i had to explained many times that she is not old enough to try the ride.Next, we went to try the newly opened Megazip-Flying Fox. MegaZip Adventure Park is Singapore’s first adventure park with one of the longest and steepest zip wires in Asia, a 12- metre high ropes course, a free-fall parachute simulator or descender and a challenging climbing wall. We had to walked a long way from Imbiah lookout to the hilltop jungle lo..3 cheers to Sushan who managed to carry Tiffany all the way up to the hilltop!
MegaZip is a spectacular flying fox ride over 450 metres long. Starting 72 metres above the sea in a tree-top tower on Mount Imbiah, they will fly over the jungle canopy, high above the hip and happening Siloso Beach and then glide across the sea to a gentle landing on a small island. The girls were all geared up in their harness ready to try their maiden flight including Tiffany!

But while waiting for their turn, long wait due to students and tourists.... the sky grew dark and gloomy and it rained! sheesh...

Great-Grandmother

The children's great-grandmother which is eddaddy's grandmother passed away so quickly on Wednesday.

Less than 2 months back, Ye Ye sent her to CGH cos of diarhear and poor digestion. Somehow after many checks and tests, the doctor diagnosed her to have ca and at the last stage! Weird how come it could go undetected for so long. It seemed that when a doctor couldnt pin point what was the problem, they would just say its 'ca'. Doctor had said '6months', if ops then would be longer, however, Great-Grandmother had chosen not to have any operation done.

She was then moved to a nursing home (Orange Valley) for about a month or was it only less than a month. Eddaddy, Tiffany and I went to visit her once in the nursing home, she was so frail that she has difficulty swallowing water and couldnt sit up properly. Daily updates from Nai Nai, and we concluded that she gets weaker by the day. Then suddenly, we heard that she couldnt eat and was warded back at CGH last Friday. Weird hour calls dont bear good news cos Nai Nai received a call in the wee hours on Wednesday. And she was gone in the morning...just like that...

The funeral's being held at Blk 114 Geylang (Ye Ye's house) and the wake will be on Sunday, 11 Oct, 8am.

Longkang Fishing

It was a fine Friday afternoon, and eddaddy was on leave! Yippee! We went on an outing in lieu of celebrating Children's Day haha. We decided to go to Qian Hu Fish Farm to do some longkang fishing. So we asked nai nai and our previous maid Gina to tag along, I think we needed any extra hands to help anytime anywhere heehee..and so we travelled, and it really felt like going for an excursion cos the car was full housed and was filled with chatters all the way to Sungei Tengah(?).
admiring the breeds of fishes in the farm...

fish feeding...so many hungry kois...

tortoise feeding...so many hungry tortoise...

here comes the actual longkang fishing..here was Tiffy having a go at it. Wah..not as easy as it seemed lo becos i saw a boy with a tankful of fishes, aiyah we sure can make it!

Melody helping to shoo the fishes to her sis's direction.

Melody posed for some pictures and behind the scene, we saw that eddaddy has taken over the job from Tiffany. Hmm..we could see him frantically trying to catch the fishes in many many big swapping movements hoping to catch as many as he could with the net! haha!! Not as easy as i thought it would be, all in all we still managed to catch 5 fishes (only)! Hmm on second thoughts, i tink the net was too small else we could have caught more keke. When we checked out, to our surprise, the operator gave us more fishes to bring home with..bringing more smiles to Tiffany's face.

Crocs Madness

I wondered why i have the sudden liking for Crocs shoes haha. Ended up whole family (including po po and kong kong) each have at least a pair, some bought from the Crocs outlet sales at T3.

Tiffy eagerly posing with the lot of crocs shoes..and she even lay out the 2 older pairs in fuchsia for photo taking! She loved her new purple Hello Kitty Cayman that she has been waiting for for almost a month.
