Pat a Cookie with Tiffany

Yesterday, Tiffany and mummy did baking together again. That was the second attempt to bake cookies together. On Tiffany's request to bake cookies, we went to the supermarket to buy the ingredients, as I was selecting the ingredients, probably due to lazy mode, I replaced all the ingredients and chose Betty Croker's pre-mixed walnut and chocolate chip pack, heehee and i just need butter and eggs to complete the shopping ta ta! Hmm..so as soon as we got home, Tiffany eagerly helped with mixing the butter, egg and the flour. I helped her to mix evenly and then she helped to scoop the mixture on the baking trays, and voila! our cookies were done. There were 2 batches, the first batch timed according to recipe and still came out a bit soft but still edible =) The second batch which i forgot to turn on the timer, was baked slightly longer and nearly chao ta (so i thought). But the second batch turned out nice and crispy haha more cookie-like. Even Tiffany prefers the 'black' to the 'white' cookies. =) But I wondered why the cookies spread out sooo big that the cookies were a bit flat and not so round le...
Batch 1 - the not-so-crispy white cookies

Batch 2 - the yummy black cookies

Cant imagine how i would cope when the angels turned terrors in the years to come. *cross fingers*

Mummy's thought - Sad to see Gina leave

Just when Mummy sent our maid Gina to the door, with Tiffany and daddy sending her to the airport, and when they left, mummy felt erm..lost...It felt like losing someone dear. My heart felt very heavy and tears nearly shed. The house seemed to be 'different' with her cupboard emptied and without the usual presence of her doing cleaning and washing. No matter how much mummy kept complaining that maid did not do this did not do that, it seemed that she already become an automatic member of this household already. It has been 3 years since she has been us, she has taken good care of the house and Tiffany especially, watching her grew from a baby to a now 3 years old tyrant. Now that she has gone, mummy actually felt huh really sad to see her go when for the past few weeks, i cant wait for her to leave cos i believed that if she really wanted to go then i would be more than happy to have a change of maid...what an irony.
Just prayed that the new maid would be able to meet my expectations and do as well as Gina has been doing or even better *cross fingers* and most importantly, the new maid must be able to get along and tolerate the children. Hope that all our eight characters dont clash. Am wondering at this moment whether did my darling girl cried when she see our maid crossing the departure gate... ...

Melody is teething and crawling at 7-months old

Today, had a pleasant surprise when i let Melody suck my knuckles! I felt something sharp and i touched her gum again with my finger and voila, Melody is teething! That explains why she dont drink much these few days, I thought she also starts her puasa lei. haha. So she has started her teething process =) hmm, can feel only but cant realli see yet so no photo to document the first teeth yet.

But, why was it that I can only feel her teeth cutting through when she already started to puasa since she was 5-months old? *perplexed*

She is a 7-months old baby today.
Caught Melody doing this action last sunday. Then tried and tested that she was able to crawl to her toy! But her crawl was not very steady yet as it was still like crawl crawl then bong on the bed type =)

Tiffany's 3rd Birthday Bash - Part II

Birthday Girl

Mummy organised another birthday bash for darling girl yesterday on 31st Aug 2008. It was a party held at home attended by our close family members, all attended except her 叔叔 cos he was overseas. As usual, mummy planned the party many weeks before from small details like partyware to our menu for the day. As mummy planned the menu, our dear maid, Gina had to start the preparation of feast from 6am in the morning. Lucky, mummy told her to start early, else our food would not be ready in time for lunch haha!
Attempt to infuse the house with some party atmosphere.
While daddy was busy inflating the balloons, Melody was surveying the mess.

Tiffany's 3rd Birthday Bash - Part I

Tiffany celebrated her 3rd birthday at her AppleTree playgroup. Mummy ordered a 1kg Barney cake on her special request. Lunch boxes and disposables were prepared for her friends as Teacher Salma mentioned that we can only do cake cutting but the children wont be able to eat the cake in class. So I got up at 630am, feed her sister and started to fold the napkins and put them nicely on top of lunch box for them to bring part of cake home =) hmm tedious for mummy but great to feel my child brimming with joy on the occasion!

Mummy's thought - Life is full of surprises

Mummy had a wonderful n memorable 31st birthday. Mummy received a swarovski keychain, a crabtree & evelyn hand therapy, a precious moment porceline box, a bouquet of lilies, a bean bolster*super heavy weight*, a real cake and a pad cake! keke.. the moment to relish was when mummy received a bouquet of lilies sent to my office! It was a big surprise that my dear sister gave me and my friends gave me an even bigger surprise when they presented me with a pad cake! Yes, a pad cake aka a cake made with pads and lingerie! I luv it! I think that was the most beautiful unique present received ever. And just when I thought the day would end with a cake from my dear sis, an auntie came and delivered a pillow, I thought huh my sis actually sent me a friven bolster or something! It was only when i carried it that i realised this was no ordinary bolster it was a bolster filled with beans, you know the kind where babies used to put on their chest so they wont be disturbed by loud noises. Now, I have a super heavy bolster to 安神 too! keke. See my dear Tiffany attacking the REAL cake..

Last but not the least, i would like to really thank my family and friends for giving me such a wonderful day! *muacks*

Turned out that daddy chaffeured us to the clinic. Doctor said the rashes was infected and got nong wor thats why it spreaded, she gave 1 antibiotic/antibaterial and 1 rash cream for the treatment. Today mummy spent $170 on jab, checkup and rash treatment...

Melody is 6-months in *Super Naughty Mode*

This is The period when babies start to 'defy' mummies... refusing to feed, refusing to change clothes (even Tiffany has to help mummy to catch her from falling off bed) happily and expertly rolling away on the bed, making funny faces and making funny noises.
I din recall Tiffany giving me 'problems' during clothes changing, if Tiffany was (and is) a terror, then Melody could be 2x over! Melody clothes changing is always a struggle, refuse to stay put for her pampers fastening, her arms cant seem to bend and get thru the armholes! And Melody don like me bending her arms lor. She would kick a big fuss if i force her to do dat.
Finalli, changed and ready for bed *phew*
