Hates being in confinement (but thanks to the air con ;P and the kind weather these few days)...alot of restrictions on food and i would try to observe traditions as much as possible..such as not being able to bathe (urgh) etc...will try my very best to observe...else my mum (even hb) will surely nag...haha
Today's dinner (thanks to this CL, i nvr had so much ginger in my life, not even during the last 2 confinements, the ginger was chopped up very small and deep fried so it turned out yummy enough for me not to pick away all those ginger):

It is always like that...Tiffy was playing with my handphone and Melody wanted to see it too. But as usual, Tiffany wouldnt let her sister touch it. And Melody getting 'frustrated' tried stepping on her elder sis! keke

Cough cough and cough
Last Sunday (26/7) had been a traumatic one for me and Melody...It all started with a slight cough and running nose last Tuesday, the cough did not go away nor did it worsen till Friday when her nai nai reported that Melody has a slight fever (37.5C) when i came home from work. So I had waited till Sat morning to bring her to see doctor...after taking her medication, her fever still went down and up again and seemed to cough more persistently. On Sunday morning, po po brought her back to the clinic and doc changed her cough medicine. However, Melody's barking cough lasted throughout the whole day till night time, while daddy was tucking her to bed, she vomited some milk and her milk seemed to be mixed with what i tot was blood streaks! At this point, i started to feel panic rising and quickly called her PD. Her PD advised immediate admission and helped to make the necc arrangements at Gleneagles while we made our way there.
Upon admission (by then Gong Gong, Po Po and Yee had arrived too), we waited for her PD to arrive and upon checking her, made the diagnosis and tests. Melody was sleeping soundly when PD checked her and she was given nebulizer (vaporized medication) butwoke up crying as the nebilizer was a bit noisy and after tat dose did not sleep till 3am plus. Yee and me had a hard time keeping our eyes open by then. But thankfully, her fever had gone down after the medication.
The next morning, Melody went through a series of tests…First, she had to take withdraw blood for tests (to test for bacteria), it really pained me to see the nurse pricked and poked pricked and poked on one arm but no blood flowed out and the nurse had to prick the other arm again for blood. Then when Melody tot the ordeal was over, she had to do a throat/saliva swipe (to test for H1n1) and then a physio did an extraction of phlegm from her lungs. I had no courage to watch in case I break down again (thankfully daddy was there holding her, and she was constantly calling out mama mama...) and could hear her gagging away in the background! After the extraction, she did an x-ray of her chest. Finally at about 2pm, all the tests were done and all we could do was to wait for the results. And po po had come by to be with her while daddy sent nai nai back home.
Melody got better after the rounds of medication and nebulizer. Po Po tucked her into bed and she managed to catch 2 hours of sleep. We could see her condition has improved and she actually walked and ran and play already. But every time the nurse walked in, she would ran away and hid behind po po or me. Gong Gong came by at 7pm plus, Yee came back at 11pm plus. Daddy lodged with us on the 2nd night.

caught in the act! trying to call for help cos daddy confine her to the bb cot?
It was the Tuesday morning that her PD reported tests cleared and she could discharge on the same morning. What a relief!
I have not been a good mummy, I should have been more vigilant and to bring her to see doctor without delaying….if I had been more careful, perhaps Melody wouldn’t need to suffer so much…
Tiffany was being such a darling, she understood wad was happening at home and had been very obedient and independent. She had slept alone in our room and had gone to school without fuss. She even drew a picture for her sister and gave Melody her bao bei stickers when we came home. Such a darling girl is she.

PS: Would like to thank those who had given me their support and not to forget the well wishes received too.
